Memphis Officer Recovering After Shooting Himself in Foot

A Memphis police officer is recovering after accidentally shooting himself in the foot during a raid Friday Night.
Officers say someone let a pitbull loose on them when they knocked on the door of a home in the 44-hundred block of Medley lane, near the airport.
The officer tried to shoot at the dog, but ended up shooting himself.
Memphis police investigators say three people were taken into custody.
No charges have been filed yet.
Two pit bulls were taken away by animal control.
Police tell us the officer was part of a five man team investigating car thefts.

Hows that the dogs fault that the cop doesnt know how to aim? I mean, wow, the dogs being punished for the officers dumbass mistake?
i feel that the dog should not be harmed in any case there is alway some way to get the dog no matter what just because that sertain type of dog has reputation for being a bad dog it is how they are raised and i dont feel the cop should have even tried to shoot the dog .
i don't think the dog should have been shot at no matter what breed it was the cop's stupid fricken mistake for shooting himself it's not like the dog shot him.

he was just trying to plaese his or her owner! thats what they all do when they fight
dadrianbrown, you should stop being an asshole and show some respect for the "PIG". He's just doing his job. I'd have shot the dog if it meant I wouldn't get mauled. If you need someone to blame, then blame the person who let the dog loose. They knew full well that something was going down, and they were obviously willing to risk the dogs life.
